But while gambling has been around for centuries the advent of the Igaming industry is just recent. Today, the Igaming industry is the fastest growing segments of the gambling industry across the planet. Its revenues are reaching a high of 30 billion Euros. This is expected to keep on growing as more jurisdiction worldwide regulate and legalize Igaming. Igaming arrived in Malta in 2002, with the establishment of the gambling and lotteries industry now known as the Malta Gaming Authority. With this Malta started becoming Europe’s premiere licensing authority. It is contributing about 12% of the country’s GDP.
